The Jack LaLanne Power Juicer, and it’s cousin the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer Pro, have been plagued by quality control issues in their manufacturing process – or, at least, that’s the impression you’ll get reading online reviews of these juicers.

The folks who get a “good” one are thrilled with the performance of the LaLanne juicer. Sure, juicing “snobs” might put down the Power Juicer because it hails from infomercials, but that doesn’t inherantly mean the product is a bad one.

But many, many other people seem to get a dud; a juicer that breaks shortly after purchase.

At $134 from Amazon (as of this writing), it’s an exceptional value… Assuming yours doesn’t break.

When LaLanne first introduced the Power Juicer through infomercials, he was also introducing us to whole concept of juicing as a healthy life choice. And other juicers weren’t on the market. Now that they are, one can find a similarly priced juicer that is more dependable. That’s why I chose not to purchase a Jack LaLanne Power Juicer Pro and went with a juicer that has a better overall quality rating.

To be fair, the Power Juicer Pro (pictured) does have better ratings than the Power Juicer. If you’re considering a LaLanne juicer, definitely go with the Power Juice Pro.
